BEEP Export Voices

A campaign and content strategy helping BEEP use founder storytelling, live conversation and social visibility to drive programme awareness.

Context

BEEP, powered by TIN Ventures, was preparing to promote its programme for UK SMEs ready to scale and trade internationally. The challenge was not only to explain the offer, but to make the need feel immediate, credible and human. Government data shows only 11.4% of UK SME businesses in relevant sectors exported in 2023, underlining the need for clearer support, trusted networks and practical export confidence.

Scott Ohene-Nyako

“The work was about turning export support into a story people could see themselves in, then giving that story places to travel.”

Our Approach

478 Studios developed a campaign strategy that moved BEEP beyond static promotion and into visible, founder-led storytelling. The work centred on six campaign pillars: disrupt, excite, raise awareness, meet a pain point, build community and convert. From there, we shaped a five-lane strategy spanning video content, founder voice, advocate amplification, resources and live experiences, each designed to build trust before asking for action.

Transformational Client Impact

The strategy gave BEEP a clearer way to show up in the market: less explanation-first, more story-first. Through live podcast activity, talking-head content, LinkedIn visibility and founder-led themes, Alex Cole and Claudine Reid MBE were positioned as credible voices behind the programme, not just names on a launch. The work helped create a more active route into awareness, interest and Bootcamp consideration.

Scott Ohene-Nyako

“Founder-led content marketing works because it makes the invitation feel personal. Before people register, attend or enquire, they want to understand the problem, trust the person behind it and see why the event matters now."

Founder Storytelling and Personal Brand

478 Studios shaped a founder visibility approach around increased LinkedIn posting, thought leadership themes and talking-head video content for Alex and Claudine. Themes included mindset, purpose, export ambition, raising aspirations, the UK-US corridor and the infrastructure scale-ups need. The aim was to make the BEEP programme feel rooted in lived experience, not just business theory, while increasing regular touchpoints with prospects and partners.

Designing a moment as part of the strategy

"Delivering on the flagship activation, a live recording of the BEEP Export Voices podcast was pivotal in the positioning of BEEP. The event featured UK Export Champion Peter Harrington and a curated guest list of founders, advocates and partners curious and ready to explore the practical challenges of going global, from resilience and networks to strategy and planning."

Content and Video Campaign

The content strategy turned BEEP’s campaign into a repeatable visibility engine. This included a dynamic teaser, 45-second social ad, shareable soundbites, long-form podcast episodes and behind-the-scenes content designed to feel human, direct and trusted. Public video outputs included Export Voices clips such as “Focus is Critical to success” and “Create Migraine Products”, extending the campaign through short-form, story-led moments.

Scott Ohene-Nyako

"People do not just buy into a programme, they buy into the belief behind it. Founder-led content gives people the story, the face and the trust they need before they step into the room."

Claudine Reid MBE

"Thank you for not only creating a marketing strategy to help us prepare for our first Live Podcast event, but for working with us to help us execute and shape our funnel of content and marketing assets for us to simply share with the world. The feedback from this has been wonderful."
